If you want to share e-book resources, you may search materials via library catalog and get the permanent links to the resources. In these examples, we will demonstrate how to share an e-book provided by "ProQuest Ebook Central" and "eBook Collection by EBSCOhost". You can find out the link for a) an e-book OR b) into its particular section/page.
For sharing the link of whole e-book
1. Go to VTC Library Website, input your search terms and click Encore button to search a record.
2. You may refine your search results to only display e-book records. Then, you can open a e-book record.
3. Open an e-book.
4. If the e-book is available in ProQuest Ebook Central, you may click "Share Link to Book".
5. The persistent link is generated. You can copy the link (press Control+C) to share an e-book.
For sharing the link of e-book's section/page
If the e-book is provided by ProQuest Ebook Central, you may share the link of particular section/page by clicking the Share Link icon after you open a section/page.
1. You can open the section/page that you wish to share. Then, you can click the Share Link icon.
2. You can copy the link (using Control+C) for sharing the section/page of e-book.
Alternatively, you can get that the link (URL) by clicking the "Get Citation" button.
Copy the URL (highlight the URL and press Control+C to copy) for sharing the link with others (paste the link).
For sharing the link of whole e-book
1. Go to the E-Books page of VTC Library Homepage.
Alternatively, you may use library catalog (Go to the VTC Library Homepage, input your search terms and click "Encore" button) to search an e-book. Library catalog will direct you to step 4 if the e-book is available in EBSCOhost.
2. Click an e-book provider (i.e. EBSCOhost)
3. You may key-in search terms to find an e-book record in the search box.
4. Open an e-book record.
5. The persistent link is automatically generated. You can copy the link (press Control+C) to share an e-book.
For sharing the link of e-book's section/page
You may share the link of particular section/page by clicking the Permalink icon after you open a section/page.
1. Open the section/page that you wish to share. Then, you can click the Permalink icon.
2. You can copy the link (using Control+C) for sharing the section/page of this e-book.
